Laugh Track

"Laugh Track" was a initiative of Foundation Parachutartists as a off program of Brussels Biennial 'Laugh Track' thinks hard about the concept of ‘criticality’ in art world. It issues de disappearances in contemporary art, society and politics. For example the disappearance of trust and believe in political agency. To question: "what could be a critical practice and what would be the repercussion of this practice in cultural and on society?" "Does Art still have it's critical and influential power or it has been deformed to an artificial smile or a laugh track on the face of now liberal market and collectors?" Two of our arguments in favour of disappearance of art, critique and the work that confront capitalism and bourgeois society are that: " (a) they have little impact. (b) they help sustain the illusion that bourgeois societies are free and open to challenge and critique."
